What's going to Materialize To Newspapers

Am I really the only person focused on the future of newspapers? Many newspapers have folded recently as a result of lack of advertising and readership. I don't must look farther than my own, personal family to determine this trend. None of my three children sign up for a newspaper. The obtain their news from television. The costs their friends who either utilize TV or cellphones or other electronics to get the news.
The first place to ascertain the health with the print information mill their funding. Papers get nearly all of their money from advertisers. Since 2003 the number of dollars received from advertising may be cut by two. On the other hand, the amount of money spent on on-line ads has tripled. So funding for newspapers is rapidly drying up.
A few years ago, I supplemented my retirement income by selling newspaper subscriptions to shoppers to get. The most common objection I heard was "I get my news on TV". This is sad because television news could only spend a moment or so on each story. TV prefer to spend no less than 10% of the news show on giving us the next wind storm. The worst part about it is that for those their scientific explanations of what is going to take place and why, these are frequently wrong.
I just desire to start the afternoon reading your neighborhood paper. My morning isn't complete without coffee plus the newspaper. I read it from cab to tailgate. I love the design of it around my hands (the same applies to books versus gadgets).
Stories are covered complete. I don't use a talking head telling me just what a TV station thinks is very important. The newspaper gives me the entire story. I can decide what is vital and what isn't. Guess what else the newspaper has? No interference from commercials. The ads is there for me to read or otherwise not read. And, because election season, I don't use a lying politician giving me misinformation check here every 10-20 minutes.
In addition to reporters, newspapers have columnists. These writers provide us with food for thought, covering ideas and events within a unique way.
What it all comes down to is talking and listening versus writing and reading. It takes more talent to post than it does to talk. And more thought must go into the written word.
It is sad for me to view the handwriting around the wall. Newspapers may ultimately disappear and be victims of technology. I hope I am wrong about it, however the trend is ending newsprint. I just hope this doesn't happen happen during my lifetime.
